I brought this work to the Print Making Thinking workshop. It is one of a series of works that mechanises an old redundant electronic devices. I have replaced the original bulb with LED’s to be powered by a hand cranked dynamo. This creates a mechanical link between the viewer and the production of the image, This forms part of a larger project looking into the mechanics of film and the mechanical production of image through machines such as the Zoetrope, and Disney Multi-plane. These machines all create as specific sensation and effect on an image, and have a specific feeling to them. In this sense my object becomes a tool, that through my research, I can feed different slides into the machine and explore there effects.
